Ana C. Conceição is currently a Professor at the Universidade do Algarve (Portugal) and Researcher at the Center for Functional Analysis, Linear Structures and Applications, from Instituto Superior Técnico. She was born in Lourenço Marques, on September 28, 1973. She joined the Mathematics course at the Universidade do Algarve in 1992. She holds a master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Instituto Superior Técnico and a PhD in Mathematics at the Universidade do Algarve.
Ana C. Conceição organized and/or belonged to the scientific committee of several national and international scientific conferences. She is the author/co-author of dozens of scientific publications (book chapters, articles in peer-reviewed journals, articles in conference proceedings) and guest co-editor of a special Springer volume. Ana has produced several computer applications in her main area of research (available online as supplemental material to articles indexed in the Web of Science).
Ana C. Conceição was the Principal Investigator in the project Divulgação de Software Educacional Dinâmico para uma Aprendizagem Interativa em Matemática no Ensino Superior, funded by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (2017). She has produced several dynamic and interactive digital resources, having received a nomination for the “Prémio Casa das Ciências 2019”. Ana is Coordinator of the Clube da Matemática da UAlg. She is a trainer for the Programa de Formação e Capacitação da Universidade do Algarve 2020 and for the Jornadas Interinstitucionais de Desenvolvimento Pedagógico. Ana collaborates with the Casa das Ciências and with the Associação Portuguesa de Matemática.
Ana C. Conceição belonged to several course committees. Ana has already held a position in the Pedagogical Council of the Unidade de Ciências Exatas e Humanas, in the Scientific Council of the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia and in the General Council of the Universidade do Algarve.
Currently, Ana C. Conceição holds the position of Pro-Rector for Academic Management at the Universidade do Algarve.
