Dashel works as a Research Affiliate at the Wolfram Institute, where he enjoyed presenting on neuronal dynamics with the FitzHugh–Nagumo model at the annual Wolfram Technology Conference, competing in hackathons like the One-Liner Competition, coauthoring a pre-algebra textbook, and researching hypergraph neural networks. Additionally, Dashel is the CTO and co founder of the Julian Project, distributing 50k+ USD in grants to historians annually. He is also the deputy chair of the board of the Earth Prize, a sustainability competition with 10,000+ student participants from 154 countries that distributes 100k USD annually to winners. In his leisure time, Dashel likes to explore areas at the intersection of incumbent and emerging fields and tries to look at the world through a contrarian framework, seeing opportunities where others don't.
