ABOUT ME:

Roberto De Luca was born on June 8, 1958. He obtained a degree in physics at the University of Salerno, Italy, in 1986, an MA in physics at theUniversity of Southern California in 1987 and a PhD from the University of Naples and Salerno in 1992. Since 1994, he has carried out research at the University of Salerno.

He has written numerous research papers and a textbook on Josephson junction array models and on the dynamics of superconducting devices. Lately, he has been more involved in physics teaching. Since 2018, most part of his research activities has been devoted to this field. He is actually member of the Editorial Board of The European Journal of Physics.

Simple ways of introducing alternative energy concepts or environmentally linked topics to young students are among his latest interests. The concept of "sunlight trapping" has taken much of his attention in the recent past.
