ABOUT ME:

I've been a graphics and user interface developer at Wolfram Research since Mathematica version 2. These days I work on an assortment of projects from the predictive interface to the Museum of Mathematics logo, editing the company blog, and occasionally running One-Liner competitions at our annual technology conference. I have a keen interest in applications of Wolfram technology to problems in design and architecture. These blog posts will give you an indication of where my heart lies:

Concerning more ancient history: I started my career path with undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Washington University in St Louis; worked for 5 years in applications of computer graphics in biology in Germany; returned to the States for graduate work in Design, then Architecture at Carnegie Mellon; returned to Europe for a brief stint at the Research Institute for Symbolic Computation in Linz, Austria; then settled in at Wolfram Research for the long haul.
