Ido is a WRF postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Washington. Ido’s research lies in the intersection of Physics, Material Science, and Mathematics and combines experiments and theoretical models. He aspires to understand the remarkable shape-morphing capabilities of living systems and replicate them in the lab using various responsive materials. Before joining UW, Ido did his PhD in Physics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Ido is the recipient of several prestigious fellowships and awards, including a Fulbright Postdoctoral Award and a Washington Research Foundation Fellowship.
