Amaad Rafi Zaidi is an Energy Engineering student at the Pennsylvania State University with a strong interest in sustainable innovation and technology-driven solutions. Raised in Raseora, India, where frequent power outages sparked his curiosity about clean energy, Amaad now focuses on projects that bridge engineering and environmental impact.
He has conducted sustainability research at the University of Oxford and co-authored a deforestation policy paper using Wolfram Mathematica with Dr. Kyle Keane from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At Penn State, he previously served as the College of Engineering Representative in student government, where he led initiatives to promote campus sustainability and student-led innovation.
Amaad brings experience in Python, C++, MATLAB, and CAD tools such as SolidWorks, and enjoys building assistive and renewable technology solutions. He is also a lifelong musician who believes creativity drives both innovation and change.
