User Portlet

I'm 50 years old and have degrees in Materials & Mechanical Engineering.

I just discovering the Linux/open source landscape. WOW! Where have I been? ...but I'm challenged with learning the ins & outs of Unix based software.

I recently purchased a Raspberry Pi to play with automating some home projects, learn to program in Python and introduce my son to computers, mathematics and engineering (e.g. making robots, games and gaming centers). It sure beats wasting time watching TV.

I've worked with Matlab and Simulink in the past and discovered the Pi has Mathematica on it. Holy #($% (apply your favorite expletive here)
