[Job/Internship] Japanese Translator [Wolfram Spring–Summer '17]

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and the Wolfram Language, has an exciting opportunity available for an intern to join its Wolfram|Alpha Quality Analysis team this spring and summer. This is a paid, part-time internship working 20 hours per week.

Wolfram|Alpha provides math help to millions of students around the world. Due to its popularity across many countries, Wolfram is now localizing certain aspects of the site to help non-English-speaking students in navigating its content. Wolfram is looking for interested and qualified students to help test its implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Localizing Wolfram|Alpha site content into the Japanese language
  • Testing site features to find any bugs
  • Ensuring that translations are interpreted correctly

Requirements:

  • Must be a native Japanese speaker
  • Must be a student enrolled in a STEM education program (undergrad or graduate degree)
  • Wolfram|Alpha experience is preferred

Location: Champaign, Illinois, or remote
