I believe there is a known problem with printing to pdf in the Linux version of Mathematica 11.2. Weirdly enough, sometimes print-to-file works at least on my Ubuntu desktop. Also can try Save As > Save as type > Postscript Document (*.ps) and later use something like ps2pdf.
