Can SystemModeler be utilized to study stochastic process

Posted 11 years ago
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has used SystemModeler to study stochastic processes, such as gene transcription in Signal Transduction Pathways?
I've viewed all of the examples given in the Biochemistry Package, but they all seem to be deterministic.

Cheers!

Okay great!

Thank You.

SystemModeler does run on a full programming language, so you can add random noise to your model if you want.  There's a number of ways of doing that, but this example might be the most reasonable way. While I don't know about Biochemistry in particular, there are people who study models with noise in them using SystemModeler.
