This is really cool! I'm particularly excited to see the potential cryptanalytic applications of this test suite, with respect to things like maximal de Bruijn sequence-generating NLFSRs.
This is really cool! I don't know much about shift registers, but does this work imply that most (or all) shift registers will fail the spectral randomness test?
No, but that certainly is a next step for this research!
