Wolfram|Alpha does not recognize certain Wolfram Language commands?

Posted 4 years ago

Hello

I am trying to run the following in Wolfram Alpha:

SphericalPlot3d[Cos[x], {x, 0, Pi}, {y, 0, 2*Pi}]

While I don't have Mathematica, based on the documentation of SphericalPlot3D that should be a valid command. However, Wolfram Alpha does not understand it. Is there a way to force Wolfram Alpha to simply run a Mathematica command?

I get that Wolfram Alpha is not a replacement of Mathematica, I would not try to run complex code on it, but I would expect it can run a single line as long as it does not exceed the preset computation time.

Thank you!

This works for me, thank you!

For this, use the Wolfram cloud, it is free for basic usage and does exactly what you need!
