I'm attempting to solve a 1D piston and cylinder problem with the FEM solver, but I can't a get sensible solution. I would expect a zig-zagging shock moving back and forth between the two walls. I'm using the vertical axis as time, with one wall (piston on the right side) moving towards the other (stationary) wall on the left.
I've attached my notebook. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
