Inverse functions in Wolfram Alpha

Posted 4 years ago

Has the ability to manipulate inverse functions disappeared from WolframAlpha?

Last week I was able to enter f(g^(-1)(x)), and take derivatives wrt x. WolframAlpha now just recognises g as a variable, and will not allow me to use it as an inverse.

In Mathematica I can perform the equivalent:

h[x_]  = g[InverseFunction[f][x] ]
h'[x_]

without any difficulties. I've also tried this form in Alpha, with no luck.
