3D display of a knotted line, with zooming and rotation

I have a file with 3 columns that describes a 3-dimensional line (a "rope"). Does Mathematica have the ability to display this line in 3D and allow the user to zoom, rotate, change viewpoint ? If the answer is yes, I will proceed to study & (re-) learn Mathematica. I've looked at many examples of data display in Mathematica, none appear to do this.

Possible extras: Could the lines' color vary according to a 4th data column? Or line width vary via a 5th column? Animation by continual file update?

Hi Peter,

Yes, it is quite easy to do.

Take a look at the Neat Examples section in the documentation for Tube or KnotData.
