I am trying to find a way to automatically and numerically calculate the largest root of my a function. I have successfully found the largest root manually by simply finding the second largest root and then using that as the starting point for FindRoot function. However, I am hoping to automate this process. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
You can try the package RootSearch by Ted Ersek. It is old, but it is still working. It uses numerical method to try and find all solutions of an equation in a given interval. It accepts InterpolatingFunctions.
