Hello, I was curious about the working of the ND command in Mathematica, which is critical for my analysis. My understanding (from somewhere on Mathematica StackExchange) is that the ND command involves finite difference schemes. Could someone please explain (or point me to a location where I can find these details) whether Mathematica adaptively chooses the stencil (order/number of stencil points) and step size? If not finite differences, what does Mathematica use?
