Dr. James Murray is a distinguished person in mathematical biology, and he developed "difference" equations for marital conflict.

Dr. S.H. Strogatz wrote the first idea of how to model the love relationship between Romeo and Juliet and many updated models were published afterwords.

I developed two dynamic models (differential equations) and show the similar structure among (1) mass-spring-damper model, (2) Romeo and Juliet love affair model, and (3) marital Interaction model.

Hi Davi

Thanks for your very interesting article and the arXiv paper. Have you read the Australian mathematician Hannah Fry's book called "The Mathematics of Love"? She also did a TED talk based on her research in this area. She has two gender specific equations for estimating whether certain people are compatible.

Hi Michael

Thank you very much for your comment. I didn't know her work. I'm going to watch the TED talk and read her book. As a start, I've just taken a look at chapter 7, "When Should You Settle Down?", which is more related to my work. It seems to me that she uses the "Secretary problem" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secretary_problem) to model the problem. As I mention in the introduction of the arXiv paper, I believe this fails to take externalities into account. The other chapters don't seem to be directly related to the problem I am dealing with. But, perhaps, it would be interesting to try to address the problems from these other chapters using the framework of my model.

Regards Davi
