Mathematica V12.3, CUDAQ[] = True, cuda image functions return black image

Posted 2 years ago

Running Mathematica V12.3, on xubuntu 18.04, GTX 780, Nvidia Driver 465.19.01, Cuda Version 11.3

Some graphical cuda functions (CUDAImageConvolve, CUDABoxFilter] return a black image and other functions such as CUDAErosion return garbage. It almost feels a memory misalignment or leak.

In the case of the CUDAErosion documentation example, the green screen white lines example returns a b/w quasi moire patter, and when executing the next example with the washers, half the image.

when testing the examples from documentation and example in https://www.wolfram.com/mathematica/new-in-8/cuda-and-opencl-support/gpu-enhanced-image-processing-functionality.html all results are black images

CUDAFourier example in https://www.wolfram.com/mathematica/new-in-8/cuda-and-opencl-support/gpu-enhanced-fast-fourier-transforms.html works

Some non-graphical cuda functions work as expected, some don't.

CUDATranspose example doesn't work, returns all zeros

CUDADot first matrix in Basic example work as in the help file

CUDADot second matrix-vector multiplication in Basic Example returns all zeros.

On a different note, is there a way to sort the search results by date?

thanks
