In attempting to answer my own math.stackexchange question regarding an unknown function (in the notebook below f[z]), I entered the constraining equivalence relation in hopes that I could then perform symbolic manipulations within Mathematica to solve for it. However, I found that the resulting equivalence removed the Convolution from the left hand side before I could attempt any further symbolic manipulations. What did I do wrong?
