Complicated form of results from DSolve?

Posted 2 years ago

i was wondering if somebody can help me with my problem using enter DSolve[]?

In the attached file i have following Differential equation DE1 (euler-bernoulli beam with interlayer-slip) which i need to solve analytically for du[x] using BC1 and BC2.

Furthermore i have a Ritz-Approach w[x] for the deflection and geometry parameters \[Chi][x] and EA1[x] where C1 to C4 are constant factors.

If i use DSolve like in the attached .nb file the result for du[x] cannot be used for further calculation. Does anybody have a clue how to get rid of my problem? Any hint is appreciated, thank you =)

What do you mean by "cannot be used for further calculation"?

If I copy your result du[x] to to a new variable dux then I get a number with

dux /. {C1 -> .2, C2 -> 1.2, C3 -> .66, C4 -> .9, Ks -> 1,    Subscript[q, 1] -> .01, x -> 5, l -> 5, Inactive[f_] :> f} /.  Integrate -> NIntegrate
