Lines of code deleted upon opening file with error message

Posted 1 year ago

Hi everyone :)

I am new to this forum so I hope I posted in the right place. Please refer me to the right place if not.

I have a problem with my new computer, after opening a Mathematica notebook it pops a "why the beep?" windows and deletes some code lines I have written.

The message is :

" There appears to be an error in the file named below. You should close it without saving, then check the "Parse and load entire notebook into memory upon opening" checkbox in the Notebook Options dialog."

If I do as this message instructs, I end up with a damaged file where my functions are replaced by "null" inputs :(

I am clearly doing something wrong and would like some help fixing this. I use Mathematica version 13.1 with a student license.

I add some screen shots that maybe would help clear this problem out.

I don't know if it helps, but one of the lines it deleted looks like so:

p2ep[k0_, \[Phi]_, \[Omega]00_, \[Epsilon]_] :=
 Module[{\[CapitalOmega] = 2 \[Pi]/86400},
  1/(2 \[CapitalOmega] k0)^4 1/(
   4 \[Epsilon]^2 \[Omega]00^2 + (\[Epsilon]^2 - \[Omega]00^2 +
      Cos[\[Phi]]^2)^2)]

Thanks in advance
