Not valid input error in Wolfram Alpha?

Posted 1 year ago

Hello, not a complex question, I'm just trying to find the value of a variable using Wolfram but I'm getting this message. Am I doing something wrong?

I played a bit with Alpha. This input will work: 'solve A*(1+C)^t=B for C' (sans quotes). But this fails: 'solve A(1+C)^t=B for C'. The latter appears to interpret A(1+C) as a function rather than a product.
