I can easily input simplified Chinese characters into Mathematica in Windows 10, but not in Linux (openSUSE15 Leap). When the mouse is in the window of Mathematica NoteBook, the keyboard input is only in English and no Chinese appears for you to choose. However, there is no problem in Chinese input in other windows on the screen.
