Setting up a SMTP mail relay

Posted 4 months ago

Hello,

New to this community so apologies if this is the incorrect place to ask.

We have users that utilize Mathematica and they need to email out of it using our hosted mail server. However, the large list of users fluctuates freqeuntly so it's been impractical to keep up with their setups. I had an idea to use the Mathematica license server as an SMTP relay that would forward to our mail server, but I'm not sure how to go about that setup. I've done some googling but haven't been able to come up with a solution. I have (what I think) is all the SMTP relay info situated in the ISS manager on the activation server, but when putting in the activation server info into the Outbound mail tab in Mathematica, it fails to send for an unspecified reason.

Is there anyone out there that might have a similar setup to what I'm trying to accomplish and could point me in the right direction?
