Tilting beam with the center of mass over an edge

Posted 23 days ago

I have a problem which I can't solve properly in Mathematica:

A beam tilts at an edge; initially, it adheres, then it slides. First, the transition from adhering to sliding and then from sliding to the lifting of the edge should be determined. This can be accomplished using the center of mass theorem, angular momentum theorem, and the condition of adhesion. For setting up the differential equation, please refer to the attached document. The first task to find out the time and angle at which the beam starts to slide is correct in my opinion but I do not get plausible values for the second task, see the attached notebook. .It should be around 0.68 seconds for my = 0.3. Help would be highly appreciated as I slowly start to despair.
