Where can I find the data for "Geographical Models with Mathematica"

Posted 1 month ago

I am currently studying Professor André Dauphiné's book "Geographical Models with Mathematica." This book is full of concrete examples, and I find it very interesting and meaningful, as it allows me to combine the practice and theory of geography using Mathematica. However, some of the data is not included. Could someone please tell me the following data used in the examples in this book?

(1) In the following 15 places, the syntax "data = Import[SystemDialogInput["FileOpen"]]" is used to read data from an external file, but since the external file is not attached, Mathematica cannot analyze it. p.38, 2.2.5.2. , Program 2.6. p.71, 2.5. , Program 2.16 p.170, 7.1.4.1. , Program 7.4. p.180, 7.2.1.1. , Program 7.9. p.184, 7.2.2.2. , Program 7.11. p.193, 1.2. , Program 7.14 p.193, 7.2.3.2. , Program 7.15. p.205, 8.2.1. , Program 8.1 p.209, 8.2.1. , Program 8.1. p.227, 9.1.1.2. , Program 9.2. p.233, 9.1.2.3. , Program 9.6.
p.240, 9.3.1. , Program 9.7.
p.243, 9.3.2. , Program 9.8. image
p.247, 9.3.4. , Program 9.9.
p.250, 10.1.1. , Program 10.1.

(2) In p.34, 2.2.3.4, it says "line= LinearModelFit[d3,{1, v, x, y, z},{v, x, y, z}]", but Mathematica cannot perform the analysis because the data for the variables v, y, and z is not displayed.

(3) There is currently no corresponding Wolfram Demonstrations Project for p.131 5.1., "Figure 5.1. The von Thünen–A A Alonso model" and p.132 "Figure 5.2. Formation of a polycentrric conurbation".

(4) p.279, 10.5., Program 10.8., no image data is entered into the variable imageca in the first line, so analysis by Mathematica cannot be performed.

(5) This may not be related to the data, but when I run p.260, 10.2.2.44. A realistic example: thee diffusion off an innovation in France, Program 10.44. Mesh of the map of France, I get the error "ToElementMesh::femimq: Element mesh quality 0.` is insufficient. If the quality estimate is less than 0., this may be due to the wrong order of element instances or self-intersections." and the output is "ElementMesh[{{-4.79537, 9.56036}, {45.5126, 59.623}}, {TriangleElement["<" 12032 ">"]}]", and I cannot proceed to the next Program 10.5. How should I deal with this?

Any advice would be appreciated.
