To whom it may concern:
I'm relatively new to Mathematica, and a project that I'm working on requires some image processing. I have a .jpg image of "fibers", black rectangles against a white backdrop. I can upload the image from the file, but I don't know how to analyze it. I need to know how many fibers are present, and each fibers length, centroid location, and angle of orientation. Any ideas? I don't have a clue how to start. I've attached a sample image of the "fibers".
