Acrobat can't open Mathematica Generated PDFs

Posted 18 days ago

Hello,
I am saving some Mathematica notebook files as pdfs as I often do so others can view them. So, Adobe Acrobat version 2025.001.20474 is crashing when I attempt to open some Mathematica generated pdfs. These pdfs range from 3.3 MB to 5.8MB in size. Acrobat stays open for a 10 or so seconds and then crashes. For one of these cases I went back to Mathematica, did a Save As to an HTML file, opened that in a browser and printed a pdf of that. That pdf is 220 KB in size and Acrobat opens that just fine. So, does anyone have any idea why the Mathematica generated pdf files seem to be unstable when opened in Acrobat and how can I remedy this?
Thanks.

It would be quite difficult to saying anything specific without an example notebook. Does Chrome/Firefox/etc... have the same problem as well? The Mac and Windows versions can also generate a PDF via the Print menu command. Have you tried using that method?
