Not sure from your question exactly what you are asking. My guess is that if you use something like
(2 | 2 x -7 |) + 6 > 16
you will get a useful answer. If this is not exactly what you want, you should be able to see how to edit it.
What keyboard are you using? All keyboards I know of have < | or > on them.
