Converting Graphs to Graphics

Posted 10 years ago

Is there a programmable method for converting a Graph to Graphics in Mathematica 9? There is a method of doing it manually by using the context menu on an existing Graph display but I would like to do it by operating on the saved name of a Graph.

Select cell containing graph, then Copy As (in Edit pulldown) PDF or Bitmap.

GraphPlot will give a Graphics object from a Graph input.

But that is far from the same "graphics" that is in the Graph display. It doesn't even have the same vertex layout.
