When I upgraded my new Raspberry Pi 2 (the one with the 4-core ARM v7 CPU) from Raspbian "Wheezy" ( = Debian 7) to Raspbian "Jessie" ( = Debian 8), Mathematica and the Wolfram Engine packages were gone. I asked Wolfram Support (we have Premium service here) and they advised me to turn to this forum. Hence my questions:
- Is Mathematica available for Raspbian "Jessie", i.e. Debian 8 on the Pi ?
- If yes, then why cannot I see it with
apt-cache search
, and what steps are necessary to install it (sudo apt-get update
/ upgrade
does not seem to help)?
- If no, then are there any plans to make it available in the near future?
Thanks a lot, AA
PS. For reference, here is the output of uname -a
:
Linux pi 3.18.7-v7+ #755 SMP PREEMPT Thu Feb 12 17:20:48 GMT 2015 armv7l GNU/Linux
