Build FindFaces like function in Image

Posted 9 years ago

Hello,

I am aware that this question was asked before but want to bring up again. I wonder if I can build or manipulate existing 'Findfaces' like function to capture objects of our interest. For example, I wonder how I could train Wolfram to capture individual trees in an image attached and develop "FindTrees" function? I am using Wolfram Development Platform.

Image processing and machine learning are difficult. Without more background, it's difficult to discuss what you'd need to do to solve a problem like this. Facial detection algorithms like FindFaces and Eigen Faces will not help you with this kind of problem.

I would first approach this problem like the cell counting problem: http://blog.wolfram.com/2012/01/04/how-to-count-cells-annihilate-sailboats-and-warp-the-mona-lisa/
