Can there be a year (0) and a negative year such as year (-1) for BC years?

Posted 8 years ago

Hello Friends,

Can we have a Year (0) and negative years such as Year (-1) for BC Years? I have a program (attachment given) to find calendar for any year (be it positive, negative or zero). But it conflicts with the Wolfram calendar for Year (0) and Year (-1). Please help to improve/correct it. Here are my observations.

By Mathmatica-

DayName[{-1, 2,28}] = Monday
DayName[{-1, 12,31}] = Sunday

My Program they are respectively Monday and Saturday
DateDifference from “ -1,3,1” to “ -1,12,31” = 305 =43 weeks 4 days. If “-1, 2, 28” is Monday then 306th day would be 4+1=5th day after Monday i.e. Saturday not Sunday as given by Mathematica.
Again

DayName[{0, 2,28}]= Wednesday
DayName[{0,12,31}]= Monday

But in my program they are respectively Tuesday and Monday.

Although Year (-1) is not Leap year,

DateDifference[{-1,2,28},{-1,3,1}]= 2 days

How?
