Clear recent files history ?

I am using Mathematica 11. Tried all the methods available online. None of them worked out. Is there any specific way, to clear recent files on Mathematica 11 ?

Hurray. It worked.

Deleted the file ? INIT.M ? in Frontend folder from the mentioned UserBaseDirectory. Its a bit difficult to find it in OSX. Anyway, it worked. It cleared entire recent history, including the Cloud.

File location : /Users/Library/Mathematica/Frontend/

Try next time:

SystemOpen[$UserBaseDirectory]

You could change values in the option inspected this to a small number. Restart. And then enlarge it again? I have not tried, but I guess it might work:

The setting is probably stored in either:

$UserBaseDirectory
$BaseDirectory
