My first degree is a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, obtained in 2016. Four years later, I graduated with a doctoral degree in Environmental Science from Duke University in December 2020. Starting January 2021, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Boundary Layer and Turbulence lab in the University of California - Irvine. I am primarily investigating wildfire dynamics from the scale of single plants to whole ecosystems. My interests lie in land-atmosphere interactions, extreme ecosystem disturbances, and sustainability.
