Hello, My name is Alex Krotz and I'm a 3rd year student at Caltech pursuing a BS in Chemistry. My current interests include spectroscopy, organometallic chemistry, optics, and signal processing. In particular, I am interested in investigating homogeneous catalysis as well as developing inorganic materials with useful non-linear optical properties. My interests regarding Mathematica include personal use applications for managing investment portfolios through web api and also as an entry point for prototyping machine learning application. Additionally, I presented with colleagues at the Wolfram Technology Conference in 2016, discussing how Mathematica provides a unique platform for effective learning beginning at the grade school level. This was part of my work with Augment Software LLC (http://augmentsoftware.com/) founded by Eric Nelson.
