Angela has been involved in STEM since elementary school and it is her hope to develop novel solutions to global environmental and health issues. She was a two-time top 30 finalist of Broadcom MASTERS (Math, Applied Science, Technology and Engineering for Rising Stars) and a two-time finalist of the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair. A particular topic Angela is currently interested in is to combine artificial intelligence (AI) and modern biotechnology to solve real-world problems such as curing diseases and fighting environmental pollution. She is passionate about promoting STEM in the youth and thus founded YouthSTEM (youthstem.org) to create opportunities for young kids to participate in STEM activities. In her free time, Angela enjoys sports (tennis, soccer and skiing) and music (piano and viola). She regularly volunteers at a local hospital and assisted living center.
