Astitva is the AI for Science program manager for Google's Digital Future Initiative. In this role, he works on building technical solutions and academic collaboration programs that would enable the beneficial deployment of AI tools in academic research. Prior to this, Astitva worked as a research computing facilitator at the University of California, overseeing the launch of a cloud based research computing platform for UC Riverside. Astitva spent ~10 years spent at Google building and leading AI based technologies and programs, focussed on research applications. He is very interested in studying and supporting the ongoing adoption of AI for Science, and frequently shares his thoughts on this through his Linkedin Newsletter.
