Borut Jurčič Zlobec is a Slovenian mathematician and independent researcher with a distinguished academic background and expertise in both pure and applied mathematics. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Ljubljana, where he also earned a diploma in Mathematics, along with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. His research spans functional analysis, differential equations, and computational modeling, with a particular focus on the spectral theory of positive operators and numerical solutions of elliptic equations.

Borut has collaborated with Wolfram Research on advanced scientific simulations, including the development of models for the elastic Foucault pendulum on a rotating Earth. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications, ranging from geometric constructions and polyhedral geometry to educational materials and student research projects.
