I teach physics at a small (3500-student) church-owned liberal arts university, and have used Mathematica both professionally and for my own amusement since version 1, originally only for checking my math on answer keys, but gradually to create animations and other visualizations for use in class, eventually for most scientific word-processing, and now I regularly oversee student research projects in which students use Mathematica. I've enjoyed and benefited from a variety of Mathematica conferences, including official Wolfram Research meetings and conferences, Mathematica at Vanderbilt, Rocky Mountain Mathematica, and the 2009 NKS Summer School in Pisa. Besides Demonstrations I have also published a couple of pieces in The Mathematica Journal.
