I am a retired software developer and live in a suburb called Woronora Heights located about 29 km south of Sydney, Australia. I hold an advanced Amateur Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency and have been operating an Amateur Radio station using the callsign VK2BYI since 1978.

My principal areas of interest in Amateur Radio include radio propagation analysis, digital radio modulation techniques and geographic information systems and mapping.
