I am a final year PhD student at Thammasat University in the Bio-Medical Engineering research unit (BIOMED) under Prof. Stanislav Makhanov. I completed my MSc in Computer Science from Thammasat University in 2019. In 2015, I obtained my BSc in Applied Science (Statistics, Mathematics, Com. Science) from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Sri Lanka and my BEng in Electronics from Sheffield Hallam University in 2014.

RESEARCH INTEREST

Perceptual Organization & Computational Neuroscience

• Apply mathematics, physics and engineering knowledge with neuroscience and psychology to understand better how BRAIN functions with vision and memory to organize sensory information into meaningful patterns.

• Use Spiking neural networks to uncover the mechanisms of human shape perception and contour integration in cortical layers. Also plasticity of visual perception: learning and adaptation
