I am in independent data scientist, teaching assistant and researcher in mathematical physics. From almost 10 years, the Wolfram Language has been my most valuable working tool.
I did my Ph.D. in theoretical physics at the University of Bologna (Italy) and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher for a few years at the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics (Stockholm, Sweden) and the Soochow University Institute for Advanced Study (Suzhou, China). However, since my bachelor degree, my intellectual interests progressively shifted from physics to mathematics and then to computation.
Therefore I left academia (except for some occasional teaching) and recently started an individual company, which I called "Datalogos", from the Greek word for reason and language, as often used by philosophers. What I like the most about my current job is that, trying to solve the concrete world problems of my customers, I get a lot of ideas for contributing packages and resources which expand the Wolfram computational language.
