I hold a PhD in Physical Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, and a HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) degree from the University of Paris-Saclay. I am a CNRS researcher (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, France), and currently serve as deputy director of the French-Argentine Institute for the Study of Climate and its Impacts (IFAECI) based at the Sea and Atmosphere Research Center, where I lead the thematic axis "Mathematical Methods for the Study of Weather and Climate". I have worked in both theoretical and applied fields of science. In recent joint work with Gisela Charó and Christophe Letellier, I have introduced the templex, a new mathematical object intended to describe the topological structure of flows in phase space.
