Dr. Farhan T. Chowdhury is a postdoctoral scientist at The Ohio State University, specialising in theoretical techniques and computational tools of Optimal Quantum Control and its applications. As an undergraduate, he studied Mathematics and Physics at Aberystwyth University, culminating in two final year mini-projects on topics in Mathematical Logic and Relativistic Quantum Mechanics respectively. He then went on to pursue Masters studies in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics at the University of Sheffield, and completed his PhD in Physics at the University of Exeter. He is fascinated by the connections that fundamental Physics has to areas like Theoretical Computer Science, Mathematical Linguistics, Logic and Machine Learning.
