User Portlet

I am a young industrial engineer active in the transformer manufacturing industry for 6 months with 2 years experience in the chemical and energy industry. My primary work centralizes around continuous improvement, materials management strategies, projects, and planning, and working with contractors and operations/departments to execute on actions and projects.

I have experience with MRP implementation and management, ergo analysis, time studies, some process mapping and simulation software [of which I am trying to get back into], project management, some WMS software and processes, and daily shop floor troubleshooting.

My goals for being here is to:

1) Stay connected with the simulation, systems, software(s), and technical IE skills and knowledge base that underlies the abilities of a versed industrial engineer in industry.

2) Learn and potentially collaborate on new ideas, studies, examples, practices, and methods by which I can utilize in my industry and day-to-day practice.

3) Network and discuss [and maybe improve upon] IE ideas, concepts, and industry issues plaguing every company and the current IE body.
