Dr. Juan Luis González Santander is a tenured Associate Professor in Applied Mathematics at University of Oviedo. He obtained his doctorate in Atomic Physics from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1998, and his doctorate in Applied Mathematics from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 2009. His research contributions integrate mathematical modeling and analytical solutions for heat transfer in industrial grinding processes. He has also contributed with numerous research articles to the study of the properties of special functions, such as Bessel functions and hypergeometric functions. More recently, he has focused on the application of special functions and fractional calculus to linear viscoelasticity problems.
