ABOUT ME:
Currently a PhD student in a joint program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and UMassMed GSBS studying bioinformatics and fluorescent microscopy. Proposed thesis centers around retrograde communication from the mitochondrial genome to the nuclear genome. I would also like to analyze the whole of mutations associated with mitochondrial diseases using various ML techniques, but first I need to narrow the question down based on the available data. I also have a never ending course project that centers on a unique way to visualize change after network perterbation.
Leading up to this path, I earned an MPH with an epi/biostat concentration. Before that I was a high school math and science teacher with an MAT in teaching for social justice.
