ABOUT ME:
John Staunton (he/him/his) is a graduate student at Columbia University. He works on formal aspects of effective field theories, including the study of symmetry breaking in non-Lorentz invariant systems, universal singularity structures to correlation functions in curved backgrounds, hidden symmetries in point particle effective field theories, and the application of on-shell techniques to the running of the coupling constant. He is also passionate about physics education with an interest in improving retention rates in physics.
